The NoJack field-safety suite is three focused apps for security firms, neighbourhood watches and emergency teams. Here's what each one does.
📸 MugShotter
MugShotter is an operational identification aid for licensed security and accredited public-safety teams. An officer who has lawfully detained a person on a client site can check a face against a shared, cross-firm incident index.
- A match returns only objective historical context (incident date, charges, contributing organisation) — never a verdict. It describes a "person of interest", never a "criminal".
- We do not collect names, ID numbers, or home addresses. We process facial biometric data and incident records as personal information, handled under each member's data-protection framework (POPIA in South Africa; GDPR in the UK/EU; equivalents elsewhere).
- Capture is post-detention only — no street scanning, no mass surveillance. Every read and write is recorded in a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit trail.
- The app and its facial-comparison engine run on secure Hetzner cloud infrastructure in Germany. We are the Operator/Processor; the security organisation is the Responsible Party/Controller.
Web dashboard + Android field app + Telegram bot. Accounts are verified before they go live.
🛡️ FirstWatch
FirstWatch is a community-safety and dispatch platform for security firms, neighbourhood watches and emergency responders. It turns scattered phones into a coordinated control room.
- One-tap panic & request-assistance from the app — the dispatcher sees the alert and the caller's live location instantly.
- Real-time control-room map with live unit positions, panic pins and active incidents; assign, chat and resolve from the dashboard.
- Role-aware across EMS, Police, Security, Neighbourhood Watch and Civilian members, with patrol shifts, scene logging and group emergency contacts.
- Runs as a section of this site at /firstwatch, with its own Android app.
📡 Vortex PTT
Vortex PTT is an enterprise push-to-talk system built with first responders in mind, for field teams who need instant voice without dialling. Hold the button, talk to the whole channel — in crystal-clear, crisp audio.
- Half-duplex group voice plus 1-to-1, with priority / admin interrupt and Call Alerts — low-latency Opus audio over a single live channel.
- C4ISR web dispatch console — a command center with channels, a live GPS unit map, presence, history and alerts.
- Android field app with background operation and rugged-hardware PTT-button support; works on cellular and Wi-Fi.
